Day 33: Sun 28 Jun - Canberra

7-8 deg C, downright tropical down here in Canberra!😕

After breakfast, Greg went to church and Wendy found another pile of papers in Mum's office that needed sorting prior to shredding. That job done, she donned a few more warm layers and walked the 2km to the Belconnen Basketball complex to watch Carla play in the final game of this competition against Tumut. All teams in the group come from the ACT and the Southern Region of NSW. Unfortunately, Carla's team was not successful and went down by 11 points. They played a great game but were outclassed by a better and stronger team,. When these two teams last met, Tumut won by 45 points, so our girls have certainly made some improvements. After Church, Greg joined us at the game and we all returned home in Mum's car. We made a small detour via The Cheese Cake Shop for a cake for Dad's birthday. He turns 83 on 2 Jul, but we are celebrating tonight as this is when most of the family are available.

Carla's runners-up medal

Jojo, Carla, Pops, Henry
